Graduate Conference on Corruption and Anti-Corruption

On 12-13 January 2015, I had a privilege to participate in the ‘Graduate Conference on Corruption and Anti-Corruption’ hosted by the Sussex Centre for the Study of Corruption at the University of Sussex, Brighton, UK. A wide range of papers about different fields of corruption and anti-corruption movement around the world were presented. I presented a paper on Party Patronage in Kurdistan region of Iraq, which focused on methods that applied to provide public sector jobs to people, how people are appointed to hold political positions and career executives, and how some exceptional pensions that ruling parties introduced to favour their members are distributed. The conference was a great opportunity to meet some new scholars and share experiences and knowledge with one another.
